Sheriff Brad Norman

Sheriff Brad Norman has been a Peace Officer since 1998 and was elected as Sheriff for his 1st term which began January 1, 2021. Sheriff Norman has served as Chief Deputy, Operations Captain, Lieutenant of the Narcotics Task Force, Sergeant as well as Deputy under the previous Sheriff, Ray Stewart. Sheriff Norman was elected to a 2nd term in office as Sheriff in 2024, as he ran unopposed.

Sheriff Norman is married to Mandy Norman, his bride of 36 years, and they have three children, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Sheriff Norman holds a Master Peace Officer Proficiency Certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement as well as a bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. He is also a graduate of the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas Leadership Command College No. 72 at Sam Houston State University as well as the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Drug Unit Commanders Academy No. 61 in Quantico, Va.
